Is Your Desk Ruining Your Ability To Get In Shape?

More often than not, a desk is where many people’s bodies slowly degenerate. And this degenerative process is slow and silent.

The bad news here is that once this degeneration reaches a critical point, it’s virtually impossible to regain your original health.

So here is how to modify your workplace to help get you in better shape:

1. Don’t sit all day: Sitting down is one of the scourges of modern day society. The human body was not designed to be in the seated position all day. Doing this slowly degenerates your back to the point of no return. So try to stand when you work.

2. Pay as much as you can for a high quality chair: Good chairs are cheap when you take into account that they save your lower back. After all, once your lower back is gone there is now way to get it back. So make sure you invest in the best chair money can buy.

3. Keep your wrists in lock down: Your fingers can handle repetitive movements, your wrists cannot. And most people get pain in their wrists, not their fingers. So make sure you manipulate your mouse with your fingers, not your wrists.

4. Use high intensity light: High intensity light will mimic sunshine. And sunshine-type light is the best natural energy enhancer you can use. Even better, it does a great job at increasing your mood. So make sure you get some high intensity light for your desk.

5. Don’t let your head protrude: This is very difficult to avoid when you stare at a computer screen all day. So make sure you try your hardest to avoid this. One thing that helps is elevating your computer monitor so that it is at eye level.

6. Don’t let your elbows come too far forward: If your arms are too far in front of you, you run the risk of developing a hunch. And having a hunch makes your back come out of alignment. So do your best to keep your elbows as far back as possible.

Don’t let your desk destroy your body. You only get one body, so please take care of it. And take action on this advice today, don’t delay!
