6 Ways To Ignite Your Calorie-Burning Furnace
While it’s important to have a balanced diet, the bottom line is that calories in versus calories out is what dictates how much weight you will lose.
And keep in mind that creating this caloric deficit with activity is far better than creating it with massive restrictions in food intake.
So, here are some strategies for burning more calories:
1. Don’t be a sedentary worker: Instead, strive to move around as much as you can at work. And perhaps the best strategy here is to work from the standing position. This will not only preserve the discs in your lower back, but it will also help you burn extra calories.
2. Don’t let cardiovascular exercise impinge on your resistance training: You should try to do everything you can to lift weights as hard as possible. You see, lifting weights is the best way to burn the highest amount of calories possible.
3. Eat the right amount of protein: Go overboard with protein and you will not be able to exercise as hard. And have too little protein and you will not get the best thermogenic effect. So the key here, as with most things, is moderation and finding the sweet spot.
4. Don’t move around just for the sake of moving around: Walking up flights of stairs or parking further away from your destination will lead to mental burn out. Instead, figure out stealthy ways to increase non-exercise activity in your daily life.
5. Consider aquatic training: You see, water pulls heat away from your body two hundred times faster than air. This means that training in water burns lots of extra calories. The only catch here is that exercise in water makes you very hungry.
6. Don’t go too high or too low with the repetitions: Too many or too few repetitions per set will not create the maximum caloric burn from exercise. The amount of repetitions per set that I recommend is 10 repetitions per set.
If you create the majority of your caloric deficit from physical activity, you will be far better off in the long run. So make sure you don’t sit on this information and take action now!
